Tim ForesmanMr. Tim Foresman is a renowned environmentalist, speaker, and former United Nation Environment Programme's Director of Early Warning and Assessment and Executive Science Adviser. Having studied the conditions of the world's oceans, Mr. Foresman has initiated the UN's Global Marine Monitoring project to study the well-being of whales, polar bears, and sustainable waterways. While working at NASA, Mr. Foresman has chaired the Digital Earth Initiative to raise the prevalence and usage of remote sensing and imaging in our daily lives. Beyond the UN and NASA, Mr. Foresman has also worked under Maryland Governor Glendening, testified to Congress, developed Geographic Information Systems for the US Marine Corps, and publicized two books: A History of the Geographic Information Systems and The Last Little Polar Bear: A Global Change Adventure Story. Mark SoutherlandMr. Mark Southerland is an active member in community environmentalism. A professional ecologist serving as the Vice President of AKRF, an environmental engineering & consulting firm, Mr. Southerland has extensive experience in studying and protecting our region's local ecology and landscapes. Beyond AKRF, Mr. Foresman also seeks to engage the community and has served as a board member of the Patapsco Heritage Greenway, Howard County Conservancy, Scientific Advisory Council,the former chair of the Maryland Water Monitoring Council, and current chair of the Howard County Sustainability Board.

Sachi Rai (Student)Sachi Rai is a senior at Reservoir High School who possesses a unique passion for our environment and the creatures inhabiting it. Her enthusiasm for protecting the natural world began at a young age, and she was featured on the local news when she was ten years old for raising $600 to help with the cleanup of the infamous BP oil spill. Since then, she has embarked on a number of endeavors ranging from conducting research on polar bear conservation to volunteering with elephants at a conservation center in Thailand. Recently she spoke at TedX talk where she delivered a talk entitled "How You Can Save the World", encouraging young adults to protect the ecosphere we inhabit. All of her efforts have been geared not only towards directly helping the environment but to spreading awareness of the changes that need to be made to protect the planet we inhabit.
