Howard County ConservancyDonated by Ruth and Frances Brown in 1993, the Howard County Conservancy opened as Howard County's first nature center to be dedicated to land conservation and youth education. Master GardenersThe Maryland Master Gardners is a University of Maryland Extension educational and volunteer program focused on implementing sustainable gardens and conserving natural resources. Maryland Coastal Bays ProgramA partnership between Ocean City, the National Park Service, US Environmental Protection Agency, and Maryland Department of Natural Resources, the Maryland Coastal Bay Program is one of 28 national estuary programs dedicated to involving communities on the local, state, and federal levels in bay conservation. The program includes outreach and education program, restoration projects, and efforts in habitat restoration and water quality.
Eastern Land Shore TrustThe mission of the Eastern Land Shore is "to preserving and sustaining the vibrant communities of the Eastern Shore and the lands and water that connects them." The trusts looks into issues in land preservation, town construction, environmental education, public policy, and coastal resilience.

Patuxent RiverkeepersPatuxent Riverkeepers is a local conservation group serving to protect and improve the health and ecosystem of the Patuxent River. The Riverkeepers lead efforts in storm water regulation reform, wastewater plant enforcement, pollutant control, and restoration. Watershed Stewards AcademyThe Watersheds Stewards Academy of Anne Arundel County community-based environmental group looking into ensuring and maintaining the water quality of the Anne Arundel watersheds. Steward volunteer opportunities include installing rain gardens, education the community on the importance of our waterways, and improving natural resources.
Howard County Soil Conservation DistrictThe Howard County Soil Conservancy District is a team of specialist and engineers who guide residential and community organizations to integrate the needs of natural resources and social needs. The Howard County Soil Conservation District also hosts the Howard County Envirothon, an environmental and natural resources competition for high school students.
Chesapeake Conservation CorpsThe Chesapeake Conservation Corp is an educational and career program for adults ages 18-25 to serve the Chesapeake Bay. The Corps's purpose is divided into 3 sections: involving young adults in working in the Mid-Atlantic region, training young adults for sustainability and leadership, and serving as an outlet to implement environmental projects.
